God created the weekly Sabbath Day to rest from toil as He did following creation to experience His full presence, holiness, and special time with Him. The 7th Day Sabbath was from the beginning before any “race” of peoples and even prior to His 10 Commandments in written form. God wanted His creation, particularly His cherished human beings, to meet with Him at His dedicated time/day each week to remain intimate with Him and not forget what He purposed for mankind originally in the Garden:
