The Hope of our Calling

And all shall be well...

Ephesians 1: 15-23

I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love towards all the saints, and for this reason I do not cease to give thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him, so that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power for us who believe, according to the working of his great power. God put this power to work in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right…

You Have Captured God’s heart

You Have (1)

As a man rejoices over his new bride, so your God will rejoice over you. Isaiah 62:5

Have you ever noticed the way a groom looks at his bride during the wedding? I have.

Perhaps it’s my vantage point. As the minister of the wedding, I’m positioned next to the groom…….

If the light is just so and the angle just right, I  can see a tiny reflection in his eyes. Her reflection. And the sight of her reminds him why he is here. His jaw relaxes and his forced smile softens. He forgets he’s wearing a tux. He forgets his sweat-soaked shirt.

….When he sees her, any thought of escape becomes a joke again. For it’s written all over his face, “Who could bear to live without this bride?”

And such are precisely the feelings of Jesus. Look long enough into the eyes of our Savior and, there…

Do we know true freedom?

Glimpse of Peace

With all that is happening here and abroad, I’ve struggled for days, wondering what to say. My words can never come up to what was written over 2000 years ago to folks in Galatia.

It still rings true.

I cannot change the world — only what I choose. I believe our choices can be the pebble in the pond, with ever widening ripples of healing love and restoration.

My Victory

Restored Ministries Blog

A cross meant to kill is my victory!

Great song by Passion Band and David Crowder that I recently heard on the radio.

Enjoy! ~ XXOO Michelle Bollom

[Verse 1]

You came for criminals and every pharisee
You came for hypocrites, even one like me
You carried sin and shame the guilt of every man
The weight of all I’ve done nailed into Your hands

[Chorus]
Oh, Your love bled for me
Oh, Your blood in crimson streams
Oh, Your death is hell’s defeat
A cross meant to kill is my victory
[Verse 2]

Oh, Your amazing grace, I’ve seen and tasted it

It’s running through my veins

I can’t escape its grip in You my soul is safe

You uncover everything
[Chorus]

Oh, Your love bled for me

Oh, Your blood in crimson streams

Oh, Your death is hell’s defeat

A cross meant to kill is my victory
[Bridge]

Behold the Lamb of God

Who takes…

The Best Things in Life are Free?

26222894762_3359e54b4f

The best things in life are free

We’ve all heard it. Most of us accept this phrase as truth. I was one of those people.

But not anymore.

Free means that it doesn’t cost anything. And the best thing in my life is my salvation. Which cost my Savior everything.

People generally use this saying in reference to money. Like the popular thought that says, Can’t buy me love.

Again, yes you can. In fact, God did buy our love when He sent His son, Jesus, to die on the cross for us.

“Christ bought us with His blood and made us free…” – Galatians 3:13

When we are tempted to forget just how high a price Jesus paid on our behalf, we lose sight of what love really means.

It’s not conditional. It isn’t always pretty. In fact, it’s usually messy.

Love costs EVERYTHING.

Indescribable

Restored Ministries Blog

One of my favorite things is seeing God show off! Seeing Him work through others in magnificent ways is beyond thrilling!

Being a part of His plan, though, is even more…well, it’s indescribable!

Use me, God! I am willing!

Jesus, allow me to be Your hands and feet!

Teach me to be a fisher of men!

I want to be like the birds that sing Your praises, like the flowers that bloom to Your song, like the stars that shine in the darkest of nights…all being who they were created to be!

Allow me not to wither away as the parched plant in a neverending drought.

Allow my heart not to hollow as with the start of petrified wood or harden as fossilized stone.

Protect me from the weathering work of the enemy and the venom of the serpents that threaten to steal what You say is mine.

Seal…
