Jesus My All In All

The Psalmist

When I think of all He has done for me
How He gave up His life on Calvary
Took my sin away and set me free
I can’t help but praise His name

When I think of the words He spoke back then
Words of love and of kingdoms without end
His words guide my life in His holy plan
I can’t help but praise His name

Oh what a Savior
Oh What a friend
Oh what a Lord He is
Loves me much more
Than i comprehend
Jesus my all in all

When I think that He bore the stripes just for me
He brings joy to me life because I’m healed
How His suffering bore turmoil so I’d have peace
I can’t help but praise His name

Oh what a Savior
Oh What a friend
Oh what a Lord He is
Loves me much more
Than i comprehend

Soul Invasion

God's whisperings

I wrote this poem on 9/8/2017. This is about how God changed my life and filled my soul.  It can be also be seen as the love of a romantic partner or friend, but for me, this is more God’s great love for me that filled my soul and made it whole!

Soul Invasion

You created a spark in my heart

That could never be burnt out

You etched your love in me

That would always be

Your whole Being invaded my soul

Chasing away the hurt and pain

That threatened to doom me forever

And drive me insane

Your entire Being permeates my soul

And makes me happily whole

‘Til your amazing love oozes out of me

Like a lush, flowing stream of pure water

A Hymn by Any Other Name…

Smoother Sailing

worship pixabay 8 17“Streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise!” How true! Those words are from “Come Thou Font of Every Blessing” and describe so eloquently our need for psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Certainly hymns are not our only option when it comes to singing loudest praise. However, copyrights make recounting the lyrics of contemporary works a bit “sketchy,” as my kids would say. And so, let me simply nod to the more modern works you readers listed and say with you, “Well done!”

  • “Here I Am Lord” by James Kilbane
  • “In Christ Alone” by Keith and Kristyn Getty
  • “Because He Lives” by Bill and Gloria Gaither
  • “Holy Spirit You Are Welcome Here” by Jesus Culture with Martin Smith
  • “This Little Light of Mine” (author disputed)

That last one, recommended by one of you with reserve, is actually published in at least 38 hymnals. Its simplicity mirrors the…

All Christians Are “Born-Again”, So Stop Asking Other Christians If They Are

The Power Of The Cross

The “born-again Christian” is a strange phenomena- to become a Christian is to become many things- 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us we are a “new creation” yet evangelical Christians are not referred to as new creation Christians. Romans talks about the circumcision of the heart, yet we do not call ourselves “circumcised heart Christians”. All Christians have the help of the Holy Spirit yet we are not called Spirit-filled Christians, so it seems strange that despite the words born again only being used once, they form such a big basis of evangelical Christianity.

Of course having said that, every person who is a Christian has to be born-again. Read this passage as Jesus interacts with Nicodemus:

“3 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus[a] by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know…

Weary and Worn? This is for you

In the last couple of days and just today alone, I have seen several messages from believers, men and women of God, about being tired, weary and worn.  In the midst of all that is going on in our country and our world, this is completely understandable.

I, too, have been a bit weary and worn these last few days. In the midst of my fight to continue coming to Jesus and sitting at His feet where I draw my strength, I want to encourage YOU, whoever you are, that is reading this post.  I want to pray this over you.

Whether you know Jesus as your personal Savior or not, I cover you in prayer and I speak this into the lives of all those who belong to the Church-the body of Christ-that this may encourage your heart today.

Most gracious Father,

We admit we need You today, more…

Holy Are You Lord

The Psalmist

My God my source
My everything
I lift your name
To you I sing
The highest praise
My heart can raise
I worship you
With highest praise

Hosanna Hosanna
Holy are you Lord
Hosanna Hosanna
Holy are you Lord

I long to see
Your lovely face
To thank you for
Amazing grace
Until that day
I’ll raise my voice
As in your presence
I rejoice

Holy are you
Holy are you
Holy are you Lord
Holy are you
Holy are you
Holy are you Lord

Hosanna Hosanna
Holy are you Lord
Hosanna Hosanna
Holy are you Lord

Parable of the Good Samaritan…

Georgetownrose

A short story which teaches a lesson; an earthly story with a heavenly meaning…what the Kingdom of God is like…

Jesus the Storyteller

(THE GOSPEL PROJECT FOR KIDS – SUMMER 2017)

And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things.

Mark 6.34

Bible Passage: Luke 10.25-37 NKJV   The Good Samaritan

  • Jesus told a parable about a man attacked by robbers…

  • A priest and a religious leader did not stop to help the man. But a certain Samaritan had kindness

  • Everyone who comes into the Kingdom of God enters by God’s kindness shown to them through the Lord Jesus Christ…

  • In the Kingdom of God kindness grows in the life of a believer in the Lord Jesus.

…He came down from heaven: by…
